Add this event to my calendar

When you come into downtown this year you will be able to see Santa and Mrs. Clause as they make a stop in Timepiece Park from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  Although there will be no opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap, they will be happy to see you.  In addition to visiting with Santa & Mrs. Clause there will be Christmas Trees for sale from local tree farms and other types of festive greenery from Charlotte Plaza Floral available in Timepiece Park.  The sounds of holiday music will also be heard throughout downtown.  Our local restaurants are offering to-go options, curbside pickup, and many locations even have delivery options.

Eaton Theatre is collecting non-perishable food items for a local food bank and the ever-popular Festival of Trees, hosted by First Congregational Church will be held virtually this year.  Please contact First Congregational Church for more information.  We are sad to announce that this year we will not be hosting a Lighted Holiday Parade or Tree Lighting ceremony. We plan for these events to return next year.

This year, more then ever, our local businesses need our support. Shopping local has a great impact on our community. For every dollar that is spent in a local small business $0.60 stays right here in our community.  Making a purchase from Amazon will keep .0003% of that same dollar in our community.  Most of our local businesses have the ability for you to shop online using either a website or social media and make your purchases. Some businesses offer weekly videos highlighting products and giving virtual tours of their store.  Curbside pickup and delivery are also available from many locations.  There is something for everyone on your shopping list right here in our community. All of our businesses are working hard to keep their locations, staff and customers safe and healthy this year.
