The live life. Nspired. 5K Run/Family Walk is a community event held in memory of Natalie Freiburger, a courageous young girl who lost her battle with ovarian cancer. It is for anyone that is excited about overcoming a serious illness or who would like to be surrounded by other inspirational people, it’s a great chance to improve your health and your outlook at the same time, with all proceeds going to support The Power of ONE Fund.

The 5K Run is a flat, fast, USATF-certified course that runs through the heart of downtown Charlotte in front of thousands of spectators waiting for annual Frontier Days Parade. Cash awards are given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers as well as the top male and female masters finishers. Gift Certificates will be awarded to top finishers in each age division (five-year brackets).

The Family Walk is an event for the whole family. Bring the kids, Grandma and Grandpa for a stroll through downtown Charlotte with thousands of parade spectators there to cheer you on. All ages and abilities welcome.

Music, snacks, and drinks will be located at the finish line and awards will be presented at the conclusion of the race.

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and on the web at Playmakers.com.
